Pickleball is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. This fun sport combines many elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong, and is played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes.

Winter Nature Walks

Birding in Brookline - November 15th - D Blakely Hoar Sanctuary
This 0.7-mile trail features boardwalks over wetlands and twisty trails through oak and cherry groves. Along the way, there are a few tripping hazards, such as rocks and small logs. Binoculars will be provided for this birding excursion!

Brookline’s Hidden Geology - December 13th - Dane Park
Enjoy a half-mile trail walk around Brookline’s Dane Park and learn about Brookline’s geology, including examining some igneous rock formations along the way!

New Year’s Tree Celebration - January 10th - Arnold Arboretum
Join Brookline Recreation’s naturalist on a guided excursion around the picturesque and fantastical Arnold Arboretum. Trails are paved and packed with gravel or mulch, including some gentle hills and phenomenally curated tree specimens.

Restfulness in Nature - February 14th - Ward’s Pond at Olmsted Park
This glacial kettle-hole pond is an excellent urban oasis for native plant and wildlife species. Enjoy a stroll through this beautiful park and relax through gentle movement and meditative moments.

Transportation from Brookline Senior Center is included in admission.
